From AsAm News:

People upset over what they considered the racist anti-Chinese lyrics of rapper YG this week protested outside his concert in Silver Spring, MD, reported WTTG.

The song Meet the Flockers talks about targeting Chinese families for robberies because they "don't believe in banks accounts."

"We are asking YG to apologize, to provide entertainment in a different format and change the lyrics," said Cliff Li, secretary general for the New Civil Rights Alliance.

The song came out two years ago, but recently became the target of members of the Chinese community after a recent spate of home invasions in Philadelphia, Atlanta and Sacramento, California.

Chatter about the song originated in China on We Chat and spread to the United States.

A similar protest is being held in Philadelphia today where YG will be in concert.
